The decorative paper covered boards have heavy edge wear especially at the corners, spine has a 1 in tear at the foot, inner hinges weak but holding firm, previous owner's names on endpages, backs of all pages are left blank for practice drawing and many of these have been drawn on, 1-2in page tears throughout. 5 pages with ink transfer from practice drawing and 4 pages with serious edge tears, one page is half cut out. Sounds a lot worse than it is, still a nice tight copy of a hard book to find and a fantastic subject. Many pages of well designed penmanship, birds, horses, people, endless scrolls, a fantastic face of Jesus. .
