Octavo (21cm.); original cloth, silver foil spine, in red and black photo-illustrated dust jacket; xi,[5],303pp. Jacket rather dust-soiled and worn along extremities, including several closed tears and shallow chipping, including at spine crown; foxing along flap folds; corners bumped and spine silver starting to flake, else Near Very Good in a Good to Very Good jacket. Biography of the Roman Catholic Priest and supporter of Henry George and the Single Tax movement. McGlynn would go so far as to found the Anti-Poverty Society for which he would be excommunicated between 1887 and 1892. EGBERT II, p. 319.
