Darkening at edges of blue cloth; small faded area to cloth at bottom of spine. The jacket has a small chip at the bottom of the spine, and the spine is sunned. The events leading up to, and the action at the Battle of Wilson's Creek, near Spingfield. Map endpapers, list of casualties and contingents, bibliography and index; 305 pages.
