Not price-clipped. 473pp. Pugin is universally known as the key figure in the creation of the Victorian phase of the Gothic revival. He was simultaneously author, decorative designer, antiquary, ecclesiologist and architect. This is one of the principal accounts of Pugin, containing a wealth of detail and personal recollections not recorded elsewhere. Ferrey and Pugin were close friends during their youth and were fellow pupils in the office of Pugin's father A.C.Pugin, whose career is also included in this book. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
