Please note that this is a heavy item and may require extra postage.; Some minor marking and discolouration to the boards, corners and top/ bottom of spine bumped slightly, a few faint stains on spine, gilt lettering; Offsetting on front and rear endpapers, bookplate of 'James Russell McLaren on front pastedown, front join sprung slightly, pastedown has torn at the rear join, however is still firmly attached; Text is free of annotation, numerous plates with etched portraits of eminent persons and places, fold out map on p. 87 has had a small tear (1.5 cm) repaired with sellotape. ; 28 x 24 x 6 cm; 576 pages .
