First French edition, hardback rebound in brown cloth with contrasting title label to spine. 16 × 10.5cm, xix + 274pp. French text. The first volume in the Collection de Chansons et de Contes Populaires series published by Leroux, this book collects together Greek folk tales, translated from the original source. The author, Emile Legrand, was a French Hellenist and chair at the School of Oriental Languages in Paris. Condition: A good copy. The binding is secure and in good order. There is some light and occasional foxing to the page edges and the book has a slightly musty aroma but is in otherwise good shape.
