This gorgeous book is in beautiful condition, with tan cloth covers, bright gilt lettering, and black and red depiction on the front cover of a dueling sword with a red cockade. Illustrated with nearly fifty plates. Binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. . Swashbuckling historical romance, in the style of Rafael Sabatini, who is far better known today. This book takes place during the French Revolution. A beautiful copy of a very early printing; the first edition was published in 1895. . 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. T4 .
