About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers. Fair. 1902. First American Edition. Hardcover. B&W Plates; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 274 pages; HC 1st American edition. Soundly bound in original cloth but with almost all of the title lettering to spine and cover and the pictorial design to the upper board rubbed and effaced away. Illustrated with b&w plates by Keller, with one plate lacking (facing p 166) and one plate reinserted by us with some furring at edges. Spine a little shelf cocked. Kind of a lost soul of a book with no distinguishing features to the original cloth. Still a copy that could be rebound or just appreciated as a good quality reading copy. Fair to Good only thus .
