About This Item

London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1964 VG+/VG+. 8vo. original blue cloth gilt (top edge spotted, with slight flecking to hinges) in dustwrapper (a few stains internally, extremities a little rubbed with slight wear to upper forecorner, else clean & bright); pp. 256, with 3 colour plates, 23 monochrome plates & an endpaper map. A very good copy. [Neate S82: Wilfrid Noyce and Robin Smith, two leading British climbers, were killed on this unhappy expedition]. Arguably the first book by a British climber to break from the official expedition account.. First Edition. Hard Cover. VG+/VG+.
