Chicago, New York & San Francisco: Laidlaw Brothers, 1932. Reprint. Original cloth. Early printing. INSCRIBED to a friend by both authors; original pencil drawing by Edwin Deming. Small 8vo. 191 pp. Pictorial brown cloth with minimal wear; inscription on separate paper pasted inside front board; a near fine copy (light wear to extremities; small white spots on rear board). The authors lived intimately with various tribes of Indians for many years; Edwin Deming was adopted into the Blackfoot tribe. In their Indian Life Series the authors have written and illustrated from first-hand information an account of the true spirit and atmosphere of Indian Life. 'Red People of the Wooded Country', the third book in the Series, is a story of the adventures of two little Indian boys whose homes were birch-bark wigwams in the woodlands.
