About This Item

Edges, gutters, & corners badly worn, rear cover dingy & creased. Pages sunned.

Jim Marlow and his strange-looking Martian friend Willis were allowed to travel only so far. But one day Willis unwittingly tuned into a treacherous plot that threatened all the colonists on Mars, and it set Jim off on a terrifying adventure that could save--or destroy--them all!

Synopsis

Red Planet is one of Heinlein's early novels for young adults. It tells the story of teenaged Jim Marlowe, whose family is part of the first Martian colony. He has a pet "bouncer" named Willis, a three eyed furry ball that records and reproduces audio. Jim, Willis, and his friend Frank run away from their boarding school when they learn that their families are in danger and that they are the only ones who can warn them! Prometheus Hall of Fame Award for Best Classic Libertarian SF Novel (1996)
