About This Item
Harmondsworth: Penguin, 1939. First edition. This early Penguin travel and adventure paperback = number 205. Some wear at top and bottom of spine, but the book has been well protected by the dust wrapper so it's a bright tight copy. The dustwrapper itself is still all there but the inside front flap has become removed from the rest and there is damage at the top and bottom of the spine. So a Good copy in a somewhat tatty dustwrapper. 280 pages including glossary but excluding adverts. Allenby states: "Rosita Forbes has penetrated where, hitherto, no English man or woman has set foot." .
