Belford, Clarke & Company Publishers, S.a. (19th c.) . Hardcover. Acceptable. Spine title on gilt patch: "Redgauntlet And The Pirate." Beneath that is gilt medallion with likeness of the author, and other gilt decoration.Blind-stamped images on front board. 464 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on tanned paper that has a small closed tear on lower edge of t.p. and significant open tear at upper edge of monochrome green floral front end page--perhaps a label was torn away. Frontis. engraving has faintly tanned tissue guard, smooth and intact. Binding firm, but front gutter cracked. Olive-drab boards are as described, and also have light bumping on corners and slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine.
