Hardcover blue cloth with gilt spine title, very good condition in a very good dust jacket. Previous owners name and date written on front end paper, a very few margin notes or marks to the text. The paper is lightly tanned. Tight, solid copy shows little wear. 289 pages selected writings of Reinhold Niebuhr, edited by Larry Rasmussen, theology professor at Union Seminary, includes notes, bibliography and index. B & w photo of Niebuhr is the only illustration. Niebuhr was a Twentieth Century theologian from the Reformed Tradition who was a modernist. He was an interested in social issues of his day from labor to civil rights and the intersection of religion and society. From a non-smoking home.
