As mentioned in the description, this has the bookplate and is from the library of Frances Mary Richardson Currer (1785-1861). She was a great book collector who continually added to her collection and found it necessary to have the collection catalogued. It is a model catalogue of a private library, and is now rare and much sought after. Dibdin refers to her as being "at the head of all female collectors in Europe". The principal part of her library was sold by Messrs. Sotheby in August 1862. The books contain an heraldic bookplate, and are generally noticeable for their fine condition. Plates by Miss Hawksworth, J. Tyret, J. Tidd, Francess Hawksworth, J. Thompson, J. Greig, J. Tyrer, Tyrell, Tyndall, Lydekker, J. Lambert, J. Rowe, J. Smith, N. Rowe, and R. Thorpe; after S.
