Original full green blind and gilt-stamped calf, spine gilt, maroon leather spine label, a.e.g. School prize award mounted on front pastedown (1882). With a fine fore-edge painting showing The Tower of London and Mint from Tower Hill (1842), after Thomas Shotter Boys (English engraver, 1803-1874). Painted circa 1970s by Don Noble [unsigned].
