About This Item

New York: Atheneum, 1984. 8vo size hardcover with dust jacket; 113 pages with blue topstain. There are some black and white illustration and drawings within the text. From dust jacket: "A field guide to the perils of the natural world, including relentless ants, falling stars, disgusting mold, the neighbor's dog, calving glaciers, poisonous toads from South America, mysterious lawn ornaments, total strangers who ask, 'Is it hot enough for you?' - and everything else under the son." Jacket is sunned and chipped at head and heel of spine. We note taped repairs and light foxing on the blank reverse of the jacket. Penciled notations on fep, abrasion on the bottom, back inside fold of jacket and creased bottom corner of inside front fold of jacket. There is a light spot to blank rep and some light soil to dust jacket. . Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
