Oxford University Press, Melbourne, 1963. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Allison Forbes. The text is illustrated with black and white line drawings by Alison Forbes along with a studio portrait of Lady Broome and her husband. Brown illustrated boards, with a lace pattern on front and back boards, with brown coloured titles on spine. Coloured end papers. Slight rubbing of the corners of book has occurred. Previous owners name on the free front endpaper. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a line drawing of Lady Broome, a pale pink coloured background white and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The dustwrapper is faded, particularly on the spine. There has been also some rubbing and grubby marks occurring to the front and back panels. Lady Broome was the wife of an early Governor of Western Australia. While she was out here she wrote letters back to her son Guy, "... she is observant and her lively descriptions of her extensive tours with her husband in Western Australia are of interest to the historian."  from the rear panel blurb.
