Chicago: The Preston Publishing Co.. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1895. Hardcover. Brown cloth hardback has no marks. Contains over 300 engravings some black and white, others blue and white. Contains Words and Deeds of Famous Women; Lists of Public Vessels; Battles, Engagements, Collisions, Captures, Surrenders, Surprises, etc. ; and Index. Decorated end papers are brittle with age-tanning throughout. Binding is weak but together with broken endpapers both front and back. Gilt to cover and spine is faded but still readable. Corners rounded with boards showing at bottom. Minor wear at spine edges and there are a few spots and scuffs to both front and back. Digital photos available. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 705 pages .
