William Heinemann Ltd., London [1931]. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. The first UK edition, preceded by the US edition, and here limited to 750 numbered copies [this being #220]. Demy 8vo. 118pp. Black cloth lettered in gold at the spine with several small gilt-stamped decorations. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With patterned endpapers, a silk place-marker, and a holograph reproduction of the title leaf in Mansfield's hand. Free endpapers lightly browned and with a touch of wear to the backstrip ends. A very good copy in dust wrapper, with some dust soiling, creasing, tanning to the spine panel, a little rubbing and wear to the extremities, several small areas of loss from the spine panel ends and a single short enclosed tear.
