Hardcover. very good. 1st Edition. xvii,355pp. Octavo in original gilt lettered green cloth with frontispiece portrait, plates from photos, and large colour folding map (in rear pocket). Covers slightly rubbed with wear to ends of spine and corners. Loose front hinge tape repaired. Rubber stamps and names on front endpapers and rubber stamp on map pocket at rear. very good Arctic Bibl. 2717. The expedition, under Low, was to patrol Canada's arctic waters and to establish arctic outposts. Also includes much historical background, as well as information on arctic whaling and on the Eskimos of the areas visited. Cover title: "The Cruise of the Neptune 1903-04". 1906
