About This Item

8vo, pamphlet, removed, dbd, 14 pp. Maybe lacking wrappers, but otherwise complete, number stamped on title, ink number on title, normal aging and foxing; otherwise very good. Scarce, early railroad title that reports on the completion of a railroad between Reading and Norristown, and the construction of a railroad between Norristown and Philadelphia. The report indicates that the amount of freight shipped at that point was not significant, but they expected a significant increase with the completion of the next part of the railroad. Information on costs and revenues are provided, as well as estimates on the cost of transporting coal to Philadelphia from the coal regions.
