Brown faded cloth with gilt title to spine. A total of 198 pages with 79 plates to rear and a large detached folding-map. One folding plate titled Buffalo Dance. The plates include botanicals, views of nature and indigenous people, ornithology, reptiles, mammals, and fish. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Loses to edges and centerfolds of map (see image). Some minor foxing throughout. Text block begining to separate from front gutter. No previous owners' names or other defacements.
