Richmond: Thomas Nicolson, 1802. Full Leather. Very Good binding. Octavo. [8], 593, [1], 17 pp. First edition. In contemporary calf. Binding is a bit abraded; owner names and family library stamps to the endpaper and preliminaries; the contents are fairly foxed. One of the owner names is that of Nathaniel H. Claiborne on the first blank; it has been marked through; the name of Harden Hairston is on the front free endpaper. Claiborne came from notable Virginia stock and was a lawyer and politician. A presentable and solid copy of this early volume of reports. Quite uncommon in the first edition and in this condition. Includes from October term of the year 1799, trough April term of the year 1801. Shaw & Shoemaker 3477.

Richmond: Printed by Thomas Nicholso, 1801. [10],[3]-588,16pp. Contemporary calf, spine rather crudely silked. Significant chipping to spine and corners. Front free endpaper excised. Titlepage with two one inch horizontal tears from gutter margin. Leaves tanned and foxed. Fair. An early Virginia volume of case reports for the Federal period, covering the spring term of 1797 through 1799. The work is dedicated to George Wythe, Judge of the High Court of Chancery.
