About This Item

No dust jacket. The exterior of this book has experienced some wear, most significant being that the fabric and backing over the spine has come totally detached (see photos). I still have that piece and will send it should you wish to attempt repairs. In other places, the fabric has chipped along some edges and has several stains. This is still a sturdy book, and the pages are clean, tight and unmarked. There are no hinge splits, and the book was manufactured without free endpapers. This volume was originally produced by Breese, with additional notes for the second edition by Beecher. Almost 150 years old, this book is rather rare.
