About This Item

Cambridge, MA, Museum of Comparatie Zoölogy, 1897. [AND] London, The Royal Society, 1876-1880. Three papers in one. 4to (29.4 x 23.8 cm). Maas: title page, 88 pp.; 14 tinted or chromolithographed plates, one very large, multi-folded coloured map. Romanes: two tile pages, 87 [45; 42] pp.; two lithographs printed in purple. Near contemporary burgundy pebbled cloth with gilt title on the spine. The paper by Maas may be the more important and rarer one; the two by Romanes, however, are bound in front. Together they form three well-illustrated works on medusae. Hinges broken, near detached; otherwise a very good, clean item.
