Complete set (two volumes in four books) reproducing these reports on MacArthur's operations in the Pacific in World War Two, first prepared by General MacArthur's Tokyo headquarters in 1950, but never approved for publication during MacArthur's lifetime. Volume One covers MacArthur's command from the Japanese attack on Luzon to their surrender in 1945; its supplement includes military operations through December 1948. Volume Two and its supplement cover Japanese operations during the war, as compiled from captured documents. Important accounts from primary sources, prepared by persons involved in the decision-making and fighting. Four big volumes, full red buckram, gilt titling & ornament, as pictured. General wear, covers lightly stained, corners rubbed. Text clean; xv, 490; xii, 312; xiii, 363; xii, 365-803 pages; indices, maps, plates, charts, b/w photos.
