About This Item
Study key people in Jesus' life from the New Testament! The author examines the Apostles' character, vices, and personalities as well as additional New Testament persons. George Matheson gives insight into this classic volume when he writes this in the Preface: "I imagined myself standing in a gallery looking at a collection of portraits, and setting myself to analyse these as they are delineated. The aim was to take them just as they are presented to us, and, without inquiring whence or how they come, to find the special thought which each reveals…. I have given the book a semi-devotional aspect by closing each chapter with a short invocation or prayer." This is a 1st EDITION hardback, with a publication date of "August, 1905" and contains 16 Chapters and 352 unmarked pages!
Good++. NO MARKS! All pages are intact, not marred by any notes, underlining or highlighting. NOT ex-Library. There is NO name but there is a personal stamp on the FEP (see picture). The hinge is loose causing the spine to be separated; but there are no loose pages. The spine is not crooked. The reddish maroon covers show shelf and edge wear. The gilt lettering on spine remains bold and bright; no rips but corners are bumped. Gold leafed edges. The pictures depict the actual book you will receive. Generally, ships the same business day! Ships with Tracking Number! Countries other than USA will require additional shipping cost.
