"The Tucson Magnetic Observatory is about 8 miles (12.9 kilometers) east of the city of Tucson, Ariz., in a comparatively level country rising gradually to mountains on the north and west. The buildings were erected in the summer of 1909, and the instruments were installed and put in operation in November of that year." 103 pp. 15 foldout graphs with reproductions of magnetograms showing the principal magnetic storms. Numerous tables. tan paper wraps. Mildly soiled. Triangular section of front cover's side edge missing. Hence title page's side "section" is mildly faded/soiled. Title page's side edge folded back, 1/4". Darkened spine and some of front cover. spine ends small tears. Overall covers are Good to Good-. ex-mus. stamp on Contents page, otherwise interior is tight, clean and Very Good+.. Soft Cover. Good to Good-. Illus. by Foldout Graphs, Tables.
