Secker & Warburg, London, 1986. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. preface by author, acknowledgements and index. Black coloured boards with silver coloured titles to the spine. Plain text dust wrapper, with white coloured background and a red and blue splash of colour with black coloured titles the front panel and spine. Author photograph to the back panel. A series of essays on art during the years 1972-1984 in which the author hypothesises that as a reaction to modern Art, that " .... trendy curators, artists, and critics have taken to celebrating the mediocre in Art.". ( From the front fold over blurb ). Heavy bumping to the top left-hand corner of the top spine and heavy bumping to the top book corners. Light bumping to the lower book corners and very mild shelfwear to the lower book edges. Some marking to the paper edges. The dustwrapper is rubbed and appears slightly crumpled. Rubbing to the dustwrapper corners. On the back panel there has been a sticker placed over the original ISBN with another ISBN number. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
