New York: Wilfred Funk, Inc., 1965. First edition, first printing, with the number 1 on the copyright page, 1965. Illustrated essays on wood as an integral part of early American life. Includes a color plate showing the grain of various types of wood. Reddish tan cloth, 111 pages, illustrated dustjacket. Very good condition with good hinges, sound text block, clean pages, neatly written 1965 gift notation on the front free endpaper, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [6.50] and is also very good with a trace of shelf soil, no chips or tears.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

I am already desperate to have this book and I've never seen it. My friend has raved about it having carried it in his backpack wherever he was wherever he went and used to make notes in it it was basically his obsession he's a total geek on many topics and this is one of his favorites. He can't say enough good things about it. I for one happened to love anything hard and wood, so I'm sure you can imagine I'd love to actually get my grubby hands on it to have and hold
