Slightly smaller book, orange cloth with embossed black Mayan warrior on front, black lettering and design very fine on spine, very tiny creases at both front tips, ink note at top of first front end paper, a 3/4" tear with crease at spine bottom edge right, 433 lightly browned heavy pages. Designed by Lynd Ward. (Winner of Wallace Stegner prize in 1948, Stanford) DJ front yellow background with illustration of Central American scene and man, red-brown spine slightly faded, small b/w photo of North at top back right. DJ is worn, torn at most edges. Fair DJ/Fine book.
