Tight binding. 5 raised ribs, 5 panels w elaborate gilt decor. . 2nd panel with gilt lettered author/title info. All spine gilt almost bright as new. White moire pastedowns & eps. Calligraph owner's inscription dated 1870 faces half title page. Half title verso with tipped prize certificate to owner from "Academy de Dijon, LYCEE IMPERIAL DE CHAUMONT". School name also gilt stamped on front cover. Sole flaws are on the cover's boards. They are lightly rubbed tho the spine is bright as new; one rib has a slight rub mark. .
