Sinclair Thomson teaches Latin American History at New York University and is the author of We Alone Will Rule: Native Andean Politics in the Age of Insurgency . Adolfo Gilly is a professor of history and politics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the author of the classic study La revolución interrumpida (in English, The Mexican Revolution ), which was conceived and written while he was imprisoned.
