About This Item

Madrid: Delprado Publishers. 2001. Small Quarto Size [approx 17.5cm x 24cm]. Very Good condition. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs and Colour drawings. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 63 pages. Although the Crusader was built as a Navy interceptor, as often has been the tradition with US fighters, a photo-reconnaissance variant was also produced by Vought. Blessed with great speed and the traditional "long legs" associated with Navy aircraft, the Crusader was effectively converted into a reconnaissance platform by removing the 20mm cannon and replacing them with cameras. It was successfully used over Cuba in 1962 and during the Vietnam war. . Reprint. Softcover.
