About This Item
Children's Publishing Company, 1922-01-01. Hardcover. Good. No dust jacket. The pictorial boards depicts a young child being frightened by a spider who has a top hand on the end of a tentacle while a motherly figure comes to the rescue in the background, the border is webbed. The edges are worn bare, the corners rounded, there are stains, the burgundy cloth spine has run onto the lower left corner, still the illustration remains bright. On the rear there is a silhouette of a monkey holding an umbrella on top of a giraffe in the middle of webs. Every page has fingerprints and smudges, I see only four tears, all 1.25" or under, binding remains tight. Full page color illustrations on the left side, text on right with duotone illustrations. Writer - C.J. Dorsey, Designer and Illustrators - Elsa Kaji & J.P. Anderson. Children's Publishing Company 1922. All orders packed with care, independent bookseller since 2011
