Hardcover published by Grosset & Dunlap, 1908. This is a reprint edition. Collection of poems from the 'Hoosier Poet' with a focus on daily life in the Midwest, childhood and family life. Illustrations by Will Vawter, who illustrated eleven collections of Riley's work. Red cloth covered boards, with the title and author name on the front cover and spine. No dust jacket. 5-1/4" X 7-3/4", 180 pages. Cover boards show some wear with spots of staining and rubbing, spots of edge wear on the bottom and top edges, tips of the bottom corners are worn and exposed. There is some black ink on the fore edge of the back cover board. Former owner's initials in pencil on the top edge of the first fly leaf. Edges of the text block show some age tanning spots to the top edge. No further writing besides the initials. Not a library discard copy. Binding is fairly tight considering the age of the book. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
