A charming miniature Petrarch (in the original Italian), attractively bound, and finely printed by Pickering as part of his Diamond Classics series of miniature books, featuring the great writers. Miniature, vicesimo-quarto (24mo) (88 x 44 mm). Contemporary dark green morocco, spine lettered in gilt, red endpapers, gilt edges. Portrait frontispiece and engraved title page. Very light rubbing at extremities, yet an excellent copy, binding tight with little wear, light toning to frontispiece and title page but thereafter contents clean. Keynes, Pickering Checklist, p. 84.
