Methuen & Co. Ltd, London, 1950. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Preface by Peter Brook. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with pink and blue coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The English translation of the French farce by the author. Translated by Christopher Fry. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with a little bumping of the book corners and rubbing present as well. Foxing to the book panels with uniform light tanning of the text block edges which also shows scattered foxing. Age toning of the pages with scattered foxing also present. Foxing, light browning and stains to the endpages. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. There is an 1'' tear to the top left-hand corner of the front panel. Creasing and some small closed tears to the dustwrapper edges. Rubbing, stains and foxing to the dustwrapper with quite noticeable fading of the back strip. There is a rubber stamp "51150'' to the lower edge of the rear panel. Second Edition.
