About This Item
Robert Hale Limited, London, 1959. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Poor/Poor. 192 pages (complete). Jean Plaid was best known for her vivid historical novels. This serious study into the origins of the Spanish Inquisition also has a strong narrative and precise attention to scene and detail. At some stage the book has been subjected to neglect. The cover, defiantly bright and dramatic, is much and torn. It is intact and secure. The cover is tight and sure with some storage marking. Inside, the contents have areas of staining incurred during storage - none of these stains trespass onto the text and are largely ignorable. The general aspect is one of security and stability, surety and certainty. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
