Very good book usual page tanning and foot of spine creased in a near fine dust jacket with some edge creasing, a diagonal crease at the bottom corner of the leading edge of the front cover, some pressure marking and slight surface wear to the lamination of the covers most pronounced at the bottom edge of the spine.. First edition first printing. Included is a loosely inserted bookplate signed by the author... Signed Bookplate Loosely Inserted. First Edition. Hard Cover.

Synopsis

Stella Rimington joined MI5 in 1965 and during her career worked in all the main fields of the organization – counter-subversion, counter-espionage and counter-terrorism – and became successively Director of all three branches. She was appointed Director-General of MI5 in 1992. Her autobiography Open Secret was published by Hutchinson in 2001.
