New York. White and Allen. 1889. Handsomely bound in multi-chromatic pictorial gilt decorated green cloth depicting a duelist and stylized sword vignette to front cover. Gilt title and tooled vignette to spine. Folio (11" x 14"). Illustrated throughout with five beautiful full page Aquarelles and further 38 full page plates in monochrome by Frank Gregory. Very mild rubbing to covers. Rear cover presents some darkening/soling. Rubbing to head and tail pieces and corners. Evidence of old bookplate removal to front pastedown. Front signature professionally repaired. A Very Good, bright crisp copy with charming and luminescent Aquarelles.
