A compendium of Dahl's work for children in four themed sections: Animals; Magic; Family, Friends and Foes; and Matters of Importance. In each section there are complete stories, extracts from longer fiction, rhymes and memoirs as well as some unpublished poetry and letters. Coloured illustrations by Quentin Blake throughout, many drawn specially for this collection. Plus work by a few other artists of note: Patrick Benson, Ralph Steadman, Raymond Briggs, Babette Cole, Posy Simmonds, Fritz Wegner and others. Ralph Steadman has done a description of The Hut at Gipsy House where Dahl worked and illustrated it with 2 double page and 1 small coloured illustrations. No inscriptions, a few minute pale spots to top edges (see image), otherwise a Fine new unread copy in Fine DUSTWRAPPER, not price clipped. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE.
