About This Item
Hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by Harper & Row, 1966. This is a book club edition. A Chief Inspector Martineau mystery. In this one, Martineau begins with the search for the missing warrant card of Detective Brabant, but the case becomes more complicated soon enough. Procter wrote fifteen novels in the Martineau series, this is the twelfth novel in the series. 212 pages, green colored boards, with the author name and title imprinted on the spine in black. Boards are flat, the corner are not bumped or creased. Green top-stain does not appear to be faded. Former owner's name written in blue ink on the top corner of the first flyleaf. No further writing besides that though. Binding is tight and square. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket shows some edge wear, primarily to the lower portion of the spine. Not a library discard. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
