New York: D Appleton-Century Company Inc., 1923. 8vo size maroon clothbound hardcover with silver titles on spine; 312 toned pages with black and white illustrations on glossy stock. Book is divided into three parts - Contents include: The Rev. George Brett and Dorothy Best Colonel John Gurwood and Madame Mayer Baliol Brett and Eugenie Mayer This volume was professionally rebound with new endpapers in 1995 and the new binding is in great condition. Ex-library with typical treatments; fep was clipped to remove barcode; toned pages; tacky area on front cover where barcode was removed. It looks like an original blank and half title page were removed during the rebinding as remnants are visible between the frontispiece and title page.
