About This Item
First and only edition. Año III, Núm. 122 of a series of book adaptations of popular Spanish films in the 1920s. This example, "Ronda de Noche", trades on the star power of international screen siren Raquel Meller. The film, which roughly translates to "The Night Watch", was originally released under its original French title, "La Ronde de Nuit" in 1925. A nice example of early film meeting popular print culture, as well as the fluidity between French and Spanish cinema at this time. 1 copy on WorldCat (FilmoTeca de Catalunya). Single volume (155 x 109 mm), pp. 60, [4], illus.; original photo-illustrated wrappers; toned with some dust soiling, short tears and chipping with modern tape repair to lower wrapper. Remains of bookseller label to title-page. Good. Stock ref. 1819
