Hogarth Pr, 1931. ~Spine very slightly cocked. This is the 6th impression overall but the 1st edition in the uniform edition. 2 owner's signatures. Water mark around base of spine, not affecting text. Cloth slightly faded at ends of spine. Dustwrapper slightly chipped at ends of spine, faded on spine but unclipped and protected in removable clear plastic sleeve. ~Robust packaging. Overseas tracking available on request. . 1st thus. Hardcover. Good+/Good+. 172pp. Binding sound, text unmarked.

Synopsis

A Room of One's Own was first published in October 1929 in the UK and USA alike as a limited edition run of 492 numbered, signed copies. The first English edition and impression was released three days later with the Vanessa Bell dust jacket, published by Hogarth Press, the Woolfs' own publishing house. The first US edition was published by Harcourt Brace & Co.
