A true first printing with no statement of reprint to the copyright page. Original green boards, gilt lettering to spine dulled. Clean pages, small inscription to the front endpage. Jacket is a later state with 3rd impression to the front inner flap, not price clipped, wear to the extremities. Laid in is a signed and dated ( 1973 ) letter from the author. The book itself is not signed. .
