Wear through at the spine ends and corners, which are lightly bumped. Some light soiling and rubbing. Endpapers are heavily tanned. Previous owner's name and bookseller's stamp on front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean and unmarked, with light age toning. A satirical fairy tale originally published in 1854 and abridged for this edition by Amy Steedman. Includes eight colour illustrations. One of the publisher's "Told to the Children" series. .
