About This Item
State College PA: School of Agriculture, Agricultural Extension Service, The Pennsylvania State College, 1941. Pamphlet. 16p., numerous b&w photoillustrations and a diagram, softbound in 9x6 inch decorated self-wraps, later printing. Staples a tad rusted with migration, a light corner-crease to entire pamphlet, else sound, and quite clean and unmarked. Techniques of hooked and braided rugs (and mats) with tools shown, and how to make wooden frames that speed construction. Zero homage to The Antiquity of The Carpet, let alone cultures other than European North America. Find a how-to for "corn shuck" rugs besides the more conventional fabric ones. A pioneer activity with asides on finding dyes amongst surrounding flora.
